Fun and Romantic Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

February 4, 2011

Valentine’s Day should be fun and romantic, not practical. If you’re looking for unique and creative Valentine gift ideas that come more from the heart than the wallet, check out this post. If you prefer luxury Valentine gift ideas, then take a look at this. But if you want moderately priced, fun and romantic Valentine gift ideas, continue reading.

Men, I know you have good intentions when you buy your Valentine that 12-piece cookware set, but you will completely win her over if you consider buying one of the following Valentine gifts for her:

Tiffany & Co. – Many women dream of receiving a little blue box. Her eyes will open wide, and she’ll have so much fun pulling the ribbon to open her surprise! Believe it or not, you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to fulfill her dream. Tiffany’s has a number of heart-shaped pendants, necklaces and bracelets to suit all budgets. You can go to the Short Hills, New York or Philadelphia stores, or order online. There’s free delivery on all purchases over $300.

Onsen For All – This spa replicates the salt water hot spring public baths found in Japan known as the onsen. Reserve a private tub for you and your loved one to enjoy a 30 minute soak in a zen filled environment. Now this is romantic!

The Princeton Garden Statesmen – Send a singing Valentine to show your honey how much your care. The Barbershop Quartet will present her with a card, flower, candy, serenade her with two songs, and then take a photo, which they’ll send electronically. Now that’s something for her to tell the girls at the office, or let them witness! This will be fun AND romantic.

Williams-Sonoma – Though it’s difficult to imagine a picnic in the middle of winter, get her a picnic basket and a gift certificate from Bon Appetit with a promise to go on a picnic the first convenient warm day. This will also be a fun and romantic gift.

Metropolis Spa Salon – Pamper your sweetie with a massage. But wait, make it more romantic by booking a couples massage, which is new at Metropolis as of this month! She will think this is very romantic. It’ll make her happier that you’ll be joining her, and you get pampered as well. Win-win!

Ladies, your ideas of what’s romantic and his ideas might not be in sync. While you might be imagining romance novel scenes, he might be thinking about being with you while doing things HE enjoys. Consider the following Valentine gifts for him:

Sports Tickets – You know what sports he loves. Get the two of you NBA, NFL, NHL or MLB tickets and root for his team together. It shows that you care about his interests. It can’t get much more fun for him.

Verizon iPhone – Boys love toys, and if he’s been dreaming of this since the arrival of the AT&T iPhone, it would be the ultimate gift. You’d score a touchdown if you can hand one over to him ON Valentines Day, especially since the pre-orders have sold out. This will be more fun than a barrel of monkeys!

Triumph Brewing Company – Some men’s idea of a date isn’t fine dining and the theater. Trade in the duck confit risotto and Broadway Pops performance for pub grub and an action flick at the UA Market Fair 10 , which to him might be all the makings of a romantic date, but mostly FUN.

Die Cast Model Car – Many manufacturers are now making die casts of everyday vehicles, not just race and sports cars. Do a search for the die-cast version of your sweetheart’s car, and order him a mini version of his pride and joy. Yet another fun gift. There seems to be a pattern here.

Lace Silhouette Lingerie – Not for him to wear, but for you to model. Pick out what YOU like, and gift it to him. You get something that’s flattering and he enjoys the view. Win-win! I had to throw in ONE totally romantic gift idea for him.

Hi there, I truly believed for what you have pointed out regarding Tiffany & Co. it is the gift that girl’s really want to receive as a gift. I agree with you that “you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to fulfill her dream.” Being a girl it was really a romantic gift also for me. I can feel that i am so special to that person if he offers me that kind of gift.

Thanks Maria! Most people don’t realize that you can get a gift for $100 from Tiffany’s. Though it will be simple compared to their more expensive items, you still get the blue box, which makes the biggest initial impact. Tiffany’s makes it possible for every girl to get a blue box!

Hi, I am totally agreed for you statement regarding this “Many women dream of receiving a little blue box”. It is true, being a girl; I want also to receive jewellery from Tiffany & co. It is very romantic when someone gives you jewellery especially when it comes to this kind of brand.
